Gary has taken part in the gruelling self sufficient foot races, some which are part of the ‘Racing The Planet’ series. This consists of running 150 miles across deserts in 4 stages. However, his 135 mile race which he did in Brazil was not a stage race and he had to run this distance non stop.

The Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Race starts in Devizes, Wiltshire, finishing just downstream of Westminster Bridge in central London, opposite the Houses of Parliament. The race has been held annually over the Easter Weekend since 1948.
The race is a severe test of skill, physical and mental stamina and planning which produces a memorable sense of achievement for those successfully completing it. Gary has now completed the race several times with Duncan, Keith, Alge and Ed! All to help raise money for The PlayBarn Project!
